Harvest Cup at Dink Den — A Fall Tournament Worth the Drive
Looking for a DUPR pickleball tournament in Ontario this fall? The Harvest Cup lands at Dink Den Pickleball Club in Cobourg on September 25–27, 2026 — a Pickleball Canada sanctioned skill and age event across three days of indoor play, just over an hour east of Toronto. Registration is open now and closes September 19.
The tournament at a glance
The Harvest Cup is a three-day tournament hosted at Dink Den Pickleball Club, 156 Willmott St Unit 2, Cobourg, Ontario and organized by True North Pickleball. It's a Pickleball Canada sanctioned skill and age event played under the official rules of pickleball, with prize money in the Open divisions — and gold medal winners in each division automatically qualify for the 2026 True North Pickleball Tour Championship.
Every event runs a round robin into a single elimination medal round with gold, silver, and bronze matches. All matches use the Franklin X40, the official ball of True North Pickleball. Entry is $80 CAD per player, and every player registers and pays individually — your team isn't locked in until both partners have completed registration, so coordinate with your partner early.
🗓️ Registration closes September 19, 2026, and refunds (minus a $10 admin fee) are only available until September 14. Register on pickleballtournaments.com →
A DUPR tournament in Ontario — what that means for you
The Harvest Cup is a skill and age rated event, and True North Pickleball uses DUPR ratings when verifying player levels across its Ontario events. That keeps divisions honest — you're competing against players who are actually at your level, not sandbaggers three brackets down from where they belong. If you've been building your DUPR through leagues or other rated play in Ontario, register in the division that matches your level.
Don't have an official DUPR rating yet? You're not shut out. Self-ratings are typically accepted, but they need to hold up to the tournament director's review, so be honest with where you slot in. For the exact divisions and any rating questions, check the events page on the official listing or contact the tournament directly.
How far is the drive? Closer than you think
Cobourg sits directly on Highway 401 along Lake Ontario, about 100 km east of Toronto. That makes the Harvest Cup one of the most accessible pickleball tournaments near Toronto this fall — and an easy trip from almost anywhere in Central and Eastern Ontario:
Drive times are approximate — but the point stands. Coming from the GTA it's a straight shot down the 401, easy enough to drive in the morning of your event day. Players from Kingston or further east can make it a proper weekend trip.
The venue: why players love Dink Den
If you haven't played at Dink Den yet, the Harvest Cup is the perfect excuse. This is Cobourg's indoor pickleball club and one of the best tournament venues in the province, a family-owned, purpose-built facility that opened in 2026 with 8 fully fenced dedicated courts, professional surfaces and permanent nets, plus a viewing lounge and pro shop. You can learn more about the club at dinkdenpickleballclub.com.
Individually fenced courts with cushioned surfaces and generous runoff room — among the largest court dimensions in Ontario. It matters when medal rounds get intense.
A massive lounge with cottage vibes to relax, refuel, and watch other brackets while you wait for your next match. Tournament days feel a lot shorter here.
Dink Den is an official Apollo Pickleball retail partner. Need an overgrip mid-tournament, or curious about the paddle everyone's asking about? The pro shop has you covered on site.
Minutes off the 401 with free on-site parking. No downtown traffic, no parking garages, no circling the block before your 8 a.m. match.
Make a weekend of it
Cobourg is a genuinely great little town for a tournament getaway. Cobourg Beach is considered one of the best beaches in Ontario, the downtown has good coffee and restaurants a few minutes from the club, and late September along the lake is beautiful. If you're travelling with family or a partner who isn't playing, they'll have plenty to do between your matches — and you'll have somewhere better than a hotel lobby to celebrate a medal.
A quick note on paddles
Since this is a Pickleball Canada sanctioned event, make sure the paddle you bring is approved for sanctioned play. Apollo's MK47 — Signature Pro and NYX Pro paddles are USA Pickleball Approved, and we ship free anywhere in Canada with no import fees or duties since we sell exclusively to Canadian players — the price you see is the price you pay.
And if you're at the Harvest Cup and spot players repping Apollo, come say hi. Events like this — Canadian organizers, Canadian clubs, Canadian players driving in from across the province — are exactly what we're here for.
Three days of sanctioned, DUPR-verified competition at one of Ontario's best indoor facilities — just over an hour from Toronto. Registration closes September 19.
